Rural Housing Opportunities Corporation, Inc. (RHOC)
Founded in 1992 as an affiliate corporation of ROI, Rural Housing
Opportunities Corporation, Inc. (RHOC) addresses the critical
housing and development needs of farmworkers and other economically
disadvantaged residents, including individuals with disabilities.
The primary goal of RHOC is to eliminate the hardship and distress
of individuals and families residing in the New York State counties
of Genesee, Orleans, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates. RHOC is also
empowered to own and manage residential and commercial property
within these counties.
The mission of RHOC is to:
- Increase and preserve decent, affordable rental units for low and moderate-income families
- Improve existing housing units and develop new single-family homes
- Expand opportunities for low and moderate-income households to become homeowners
